Type of policy

The Canada Life Flexible Pension Bond is a registered pension scheme as defined in the Finance Act 2004 under Chapter XII Part IV. All Bonds are effected under a single discretionary trust which names Canada Life Pension Managers & Trustees Limited as Trustee.

Eligibility

Minimum age at entry: 18 next birthday.
Maximum age at entry: 70 next birthday.

Minimum contribution

The minimum contribution to the plan is £2,500.

This is also the minimum additional contribution.

Additional contributions

Additional contributions can be made at any time up until benefits are taken and will, for all purposes, be treated as a new bond (except the calculation of any loyalty bonus threshold).

Unit allocation

Your contributions will be allocated to units at the offer price.

£5,000 - £9,999.99 99.0%

£10,000 - £24,999.99 100.0%

£25,000 - £49,999.99 101.0%

£50,000 - £74,999.99 101.5%

£75,000 - £99,999.99 102.0%

£100,000 - £149,999.99 102.5%

£150,000 or more 103.0%

Charges

Bid/offer spread: 5%, with a small rounding adjustment of not more than 1%.

Annual management charges – Accumulator units:

1% per annum calculated daily.

In addition, an investment management fee is levied. This fee varies according to funds selected. Please note that all charges are subject to regular review by Canada Life. We have taken account of all these charges, on the current basis, in the Personal Example.

New business requirements

Please ensure that the following items are completed before submitting to Canada Life:

• Application form

• Cheque

• Personal example, which advises the funds, commission basis and if clusters have been selected

• Trust form, if applicable

• Money Laundering Certificate(s) and certified copies of evidence.

Money laundering certificates are required for all policyholders, trustees, attorneys and cheque payees. If lives assured are minors then evidence is required to prove their existence: original birth certificate or certified copy of their passport or verification certificate.
